From West Wales 

Leave the M4 motorway at Junction 45 and take the A465 Heads of the Valley Road towards Merthyr Tydful.  After approximately 17 miles take the A4061 from Hirwaun to Treherbert, and then follow the directions from Treherbert as below.

From Mid/North Wales

Take the A4059 off the A470 just after Storey Arms, signposted Neath, and at Hirwaun take the A4061 to Treherbert and follow the directions from Treherbert as below

From the Midlands

Take the M50 off the M5 at Junction 8 and head towards Monmouth and Abergavenny.  After Abergavenny take the A465 south past Merthyr Tydfil and onto Hirwaun.  At Hirwaun take the A4061 to Treherbert and follow the directions from Treherbert as below.

From South Wales and West of England

Leave the M4 at Junction 34 and take the A4119 through Tonypandy and Treorchy to Treherbert and then follow the directions as below.

At Treherbert

Follow the signs for Blaencwm/Blaenrhondda and Penpych Country Park.  After 1 mile turn left opposite the former St Albans Church and follow this road for 200m.  Turn left at the T junction and head towards the village of Blaencwm.  Before you enter the village take a right (singposted picnic site) and follow the lane upto Ty Draw Farm.

By Train

There are regular train services between Cardiff Central and Treherbert.
